In these bizarre times, the humanistic values of the VUB are more important than ever. The Week of Ethics offers you the chance to reflect on the meaning of the VUB's commitment to research that promotes the well-being of mankind.
Scientific integrity
This year, our kick-off sessions will focus on the importance of open data to contribute to scientific integrity. In addition to the kick-off sessions, we will hold a number of sessions with a practical focus, covering topics such as: dual use and military research, animal testing, data and ethics, and conflict of interest. The sessions will consist of panel discussions with VUB students, VUB professors, international guest professors and experts.
The Ethics Week at the VUB will take place from 29 November to 3 December 2021. The Week of Ethics is an opportunity both to reflect on our core values in these difficult times and to provide practical guidance on ethics in research.
